Daily Itinerary

1. Day 1

   Kiel

   Germany

Kiel, a historic maritime city on the Baltic Sea, is celebrated for its rich naval heritage and vibrant waterfront atmosphere. Must-do experiences include sampling local delicacies like Labskaus and visiting the lively Wochenmarkt. The best time to experience Kiel is during the summer months, particularly during the Kieler Woche regatta in June.

2. Day 2

   At Sea

3. Day 3

   Sandnes, Norway

   Arrive 08:00Depart 13:00

   Norway

Sandnes, a captivating port on Norway's Helgeland coast, offers a blend of rich history, stunning landscapes, and vibrant local culture. Must-do experiences include hiking the iconic Seven Sisters mountain range and indulging in traditional dishes like klippfisk. The best time to visit is during the summer months, when the weather is mild and ideal for outdoor exploration.

4. Day 4

   Olden

   Arrive 12:00Depart 18:00

   Norway

Olden is a serene fjord village at the head of Nordfjord in western Norway, where glacial rivers meet emerald waters beneath towering peaks. The essential experience is the journey to Briksdal Glacier, an arm of Europe's largest ice cap, followed by tasting traditional *raspeball* dumplings and cloudberry cream at a local farmstead. The prime visiting season stretches from June through August, when near-endless daylight illuminates the valley and summer temperatures make glacier hikes and fjord kayaking particularly rewarding.

5. Day 5

   Molde

   Arrive 08:00

   Norway

Molde — the City of Roses — wraps around the northern shore of the Romsdalsfjord beneath a famous panorama of 222 snow-capped peaks that drew Kaiser Wilhelm II back summer after summer aboard his imperial yacht. The city gained wartime distinction as Norway's temporary capital in April 1940, and a hillside viewing platform still bears the Kaiser's name, offering one of the most celebrated fjord panoramas in the country. The Romsdal Museum's collection of 50 traditional farmhouses, and the Bjørnsund fishing village on the outer coast, reward those who linger. Molde Jazz Festival, held every July, transforms this quietly elegant town into one of Europe's most convivial summer destinations.

6. Day 6

   At Sea

7. Day 7

   Leknes

   Arrive 08:00Depart 15:00

   Norway

Leknes is the gateway to the heart of Norway's Lofoten Islands, an archipelago of jagged peaks, pristine Arctic beaches, and centuries-old fishing villages. Must-dos include hiking to viewpoints above the fjords, visiting the white-sand Haukland Beach, tasting fresh cod and king crab, and exploring the Viking Museum at Borg. Summer brings midnight sun and hiking, while winter offers northern lights and dramatic Arctic scenery.

8. Day 7

9. Day 8

   Honningsvag

   Depart 19:00

   Norway

Perched at the very tip of Norway on the island of Magerøya, Honningsvåg is the storied gateway to the North Cape — the dramatic cliff that marks Europe's northernmost point, where the Arctic Ocean stretches uninterrupted to the Pole. The town's modest fishing-village character only deepens the sense of extraordinary remoteness, making arrival here feel like a genuine expedition. Visit the North Cape plateau for a midnight sun spectacle or the mesmerizing curtains of the northern lights; both experiences are among the most transcendent in nature. Summer (June–August) brings perpetual daylight; winter (November–February) offers prime aurora viewing.

10. Day 9

    Honningsvag

    Depart 01:00

    Norway

Perched at the very tip of Norway on the island of Magerøya, Honningsvåg is the storied gateway to the North Cape — the dramatic cliff that marks Europe's northernmost point, where the Arctic Ocean stretches uninterrupted to the Pole. 11. Day 10

    Bodo

    Arrive 07:00Depart 13:00

    Norway

Bodø, perched just above the Arctic Circle on Norway's Nordland coast and named European Capital of Culture for 2024, is defined by the Saltstraumen — the world's most powerful tidal current, where 400 million cubic metres of seawater surge through a narrow strait four times daily, creating maelstroms that attract record-sized cod and halibut and the eagles that hunt them. Beyond the tidal drama, Bodø is the mainland gateway to the Lofoten Islands, whose jagged peaks and crimson fishing villages rank among the most photographed landscapes on earth. Summer brings the midnight sun; winter offers dramatic Northern Lights over the Vestfjord. Svolvær in Lofoten is ninety minutes by ferry.

12. Day 11

    Trondheim

    Arrive 09:30Depart 13:00

    Norway

Trondheim, Norway's ancient first capital, has drawn pilgrims for a thousand years to the Nidaros Cathedral — Scandinavia's greatest medieval building, raised over the tomb of Saint Olav and still serving as Norway's royal coronation church, its Gothic west facade a sublime gallery of stone scripture. The city unfolds along the banks of the Nidelva River in a harmonious mix of centuries-old wooden wharfhouses, elegant baroque streetscapes, and a confident contemporary university culture. Summer is the ideal season for Trondheim, when long golden evenings allow leisurely exploration of Bakklandet's cafés and the Ringve Music Museum's extraordinary instrument collections.

13. Day 12

    Alesund

    Arrive 07:00Depart 13:00

    Norway

Ålesund, rebuilt in just three years after a catastrophic 1904 fire, rose from its ashes as one of Europe's most remarkable concentrations of Art Nouveau architecture — turrets, dragon motifs, and floral stonework lining a Norwegian fishing town waterfront like an open-air Jugendstil museum. Climb the 418 steps of Aksla hill for a panorama that sweeps across the Art Nouveau rooftops to the surrounding fjords, then descend to sample the town's celebrated fresh Atlantic seafood at the harbor quay. Summer brings the midnight sun; autumn offers moody light and the region's famous apple orchards. The Geirangerfjord, a UNESCO treasure, is an hour's sail away.

14. Day 13

    Eidfjord, Norway

    Arrive 09:30Depart 19:00

    Norway

Eidfjord is a fjord village of fewer than a thousand residents at the innermost tip of Norway's Hardangerfjord, framed by towering peaks and the vast Hardangervidda plateau. Visitors should not miss the 182-metre Vøringsfossen waterfall and the ancient rock carvings at Hæreid, both within easy reach of the waterfront. The prime season stretches from late May through early September, when endless Nordic daylight illuminates the glacial waters and the surrounding Hardanger orchards are in full bloom.

15. Day 14

    At Sea

16. Day 15

    Hamburg, Germany

    Arrive 07:00

    Germany

Hamburg — once the 'Gateway to the World' and still Germany's greatest port — combines Hanseatic grandeur with an unmatched contemporary creative energy. The Speicherstadt, a vast nineteenth-century brick warehouse district now housing design studios, museums, and the Elbphilharmonie concert hall perched dramatically above the Elbe, exemplifies the city's gift for transforming history into living culture. The Reeperbahn's legendary nightlife, the Alster lake's elegant promenades, and an exceptional restaurant scene anchored by the finest fresh fish from the daily harbour market complete an irresistible portrait. Hamburg rewards visits year-round, though May through September offers the longest, most luminous days.
